Reticulate Gila Monster (Heloderma suspectum suspectum)

They're venemous, but this beaut was wandering through the dry Queen Creek riverbed and well away from the path. An interpreter at Ayer's Lake had mentioned that one was up and active (unusual?) and to keep an eye for it on the trail.
