Comments

2009: At 55 species only marginally better than last year; added one new bird (Northern Goshawk); Hoary Redpoll was consistent over the 2008/09 winter.

2008: A thinner year than usual; added two new birds (Am. Woodcock, Northern Saw-whet), and Eastern Phoebe was back after 6 years.

2007 Only 57 species; unfortunately a busy year kept us out of the yard.  Bohemian Waxwing, American Tree Sparrow made first appearances.

2006: 54 species to close out the year.  Pattie has seen a new one for the yard: Northern Shrike.  Broad-winged hawks seen kettleing were another new addition.

2005: Only 55 species this year, but two more for the yard total to bring it to 77.

2004: Best year so far: 58 species, bringing the total up to 75 for the yard.

2003: Not a bad year, saw 40 species, bringing our yard total up to 59.  A paucity of warblers and other spring migrants and summer residents can be chalked up to our travel schedule -- we just weren't around enough.  2004 will be different!

2001-2002: We don't have a lot of records kept for this period, as we were in the middle of construction and moving.
